Overview
A TÜV seal points out that a neutral, competent body
has evaluated your product has been evaluated by with respect
to safety, quality, or a certain product characteristic. Our
product certifications are intended to facilitate the strategic
positioning of your products on the European markets. TÜV
India with its vast experience and international network can
help you achieve your goals.
TÜV India, in partnership with its parent company TÜV
NORD, conducts inspection and assessment for the following
product markings:
CE marking
TÜV India partners with TÜV NORD
to certify the CE mark of the European Union. Standing for the
French Conformité Européenne, the CE mark has
become the passport for product groups wishing to enter the
European market.
As a notified body to the European Union, TÜV India will
assist your company to achieve compliance testing in a
domain regulated by EC directives (Low-voltage directive, toys
directive, machinery directive, etc.). Within the framework
of the CE mark we are therefore able to offer all the requisite
services on a one-stop basis. The necessary areas of the CE
conformity assessment include the following:
|
|
type approval testing |
|
|
compatibility tests (electromagnetic,
biological compatibility etc.) |
|
|
safety tests in our own testing
laboratories |
|
|
examination of product design
|
|
|
preparation of expert appraisal
reports |
|
|
certification of quality systems |
We assist companies as early as the development stage of new
products by answering all questions related to the application
of regulations, occupational safety and health provisions connected
with the safety of equipment.
GS marking
GS stands for Geprüfte Sicherheit, i.e.
the approved product meets German safety regulations. The GS
mark is a voluntary quality mark, giving your product a valuable
advantage in competition.
The GS mark documents the evaluation of a product by a national
test center and includes an initial inspection of the production
equipment as well as regular supervision of the production.
If the requirements for the awarding of the GS mark are met,
the GS mark may be attached on consumer goods and investment
goods next to the CE mark or CE label.
Bauart approval
The Bauart Mark stands for conformity of
component groups, parts and elements. It strengthens the consumer
confidence in the products and thus boosts sales. It also acts
as a valuable marketing tool.
TÜV mark
The TÜV Mark is a registered certification mark of TÜV
Nord. TÜV is an independent product-safety testing and
certification organisation. The TÜV Mark may only be used
on or in connection with the products certified by TÜV
and under the terms of written agreement with TÜV.
An electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical product bearing
the TÜV mark signifies that it was tested and meets the
minimum requirements of prescribed product safety standards.
The mark indicates that the manufacturer's production site
conforms to a range of compliance measures and is subject
to periodic follow-up inspections to verify continued conformance.
The TÜV Mark is important because an independent, technically
expert organisation that doesn't have a financial interest in
the product's ultimate profitability, determines whether foreseeable
risks associated with the product's use have been eliminated
or minimised. Once in the marketplace, a product must continue
to meet safety requirements in order to bear the TUV Mark or
the mark will be removed.
ATEX
The ATEX mark aims at testing and certifying
explosion-proof equipment. TÜV India can issue the following
certificates, in co-operation with TUV NORD Germany:
|
|
EG prototype test according
to appendix III of the EU guideline 94/9/EG |
|
|
Quality assurance production
according to appendix IV of the EU guideline 94/9/EG |
|
|
Quality assurance product according
to appendix VII of the EU guideline 94/9/EG |
